SFU Medical Student

My name is Justin Long (he/him,) and I am a 26-year-old first year medical student at the SFU Stephens Family School of Medicine. Prior to medical school, I completed a BSc at SFU in cellular biology and an MSc at UBC in the Interdisciplinary Oncology Program where I helped discover and characterize a potential novel therapeutic target in a rare childhood bone malignancy, named Ewing sarcoma. Outside of my professional life, I am interested in many sports-related hobbies, including skiing, snowboarding, hockey, golf, road biking, swimming, and the gym. Additionally, I am an avid traveler and have even been teaching myself how to read, write, and speak German as a hobby.
